The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue specialty is one of the most important courses any diver can take — and a mandatory requirement for the SSI Dive Guide and Divemaster professional pathway. The course teaches you to identify and manage diver stress before it escalates into an emergency, conduct in-water rescues of both conscious and unconscious divers, provide emergency care at the surface, and coordinate emergency procedures on shore. Training is realistic and demanding, conducted across multiple scenarios in genuine open water conditions.
