Overview

The SSI Advanced Open Water Diver rating is automatically awarded to certified divers who complete four SSI specialty programmes and log a minimum of 24 dives. There is no standalone ‘Advanced’ course to complete — instead, it is earned progressively through your specialty training, rewarding divers who invest in their education with a recognised rating that reflects their growing competence and versatility. The SSI system is designed so that every specialty course you take contributes meaningfully to your overall progression.
