Overview

Many of the ocean’s best and most remote dive sites are only accessible by boat. The SSI Boat Diving specialty teaches the etiquette and procedures of diving from all types of vessels — rigid inflatables, day boats, and liveaboards. You will learn boat entry and exit techniques for different sea states, surface signalling and boat communication, equipment management on deck, and how to organise and coordinate boat dive operations safely. Prerequisite: Open Water Diver.
