Overview

Many of the ocean’s most spectacular dive sites — dramatic walls, large pelagic species, and historic wrecks — lie in the 18–40 metre range. The SSI Deep Diving specialty teaches you to safely plan and conduct dives throughout this range, manage the effects of depth on the body, perform proper gas consumption calculations, and use your dive computer’s advanced planning features. Required for the Dive Guide and Divemaster professional pathway. Prerequisite: Open Water Diver. Depth: 40 m.
